E-ZPass

E-ZPass On the Go devices are currently unavailable at retailers. Keep reading to find out how to get a new E-ZPass transponder or how to register your existing On the Go device.

To get an E-ZPass transponder, please visit your local DriveEzMD Customer Service Center or create an account online. On the Go transponders are also available by visiting many MDOT MVA locations. 

 

E-ZPass remains the most cost-effective way to travel toll roads in Maryland, saving drivers up to 77% versus the higher rates and additional paperwork that come with Video Tolls. Standard transponders (windshield-mounted) are free and there’s no monthly fee for Maryland addresses.

You must register your transponder before the first use. Upon registration, please be sure to associate your vehicle with your new device. Failure to do so may result in Video Tolls. 

Once the transponder is registered, E-ZPass On the Go works just like a traditional E-ZPass. It may not be used with Business Accounts or Hatem A Accounts.

A $1.50 monthly maintenance fee will be assessed for out of state residents who use Maryland toll facilities fewer than 3 times during the prior statement period. The packaging can act as a “non-read” bag if carrying multiple devices in the car.
